The 2023-2024 academic year is well on the way, and the students at the HDS B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Program in Broward County had the opportunity to experience a unique scavenger hunt right on their school campus. Students were divided into two groups and paired to work as a team. Together, they embarked on a quest throughout the school.
They were handed clipboards, pencils, and a list of specific items they had to find. With great excitement, they set off on an adventure that would test their teamwork, problem-solving, map-reading, and communication skills. Certain items were inside specific classrooms, requiring students to ask the teacher for the item. When students could not access a particular building, they had to rely on their communication abilities to seek help from either a staff member or a security guard. Navigating the school campus, they followed the checklist’s instructions, aiming to gather all the items and return to their classroom as the first team to finish within a 45-minute time frame.
The HDS B.R.I.D.G.E.S. students had a blast engaging in this fun activity, practicing their teamwork, problem-solving, map reading, and communication skills!
