Today, the HDS B.R.I.D.G.E.S. students went on their first Community-Based Instruction (CBI) field trip to Walmart! Their challenge was to work in teams of three and stay within a $25 budget while purchasing office supplies for their teachers. At the checkout, some groups discovered they were over budget and had to problem-solve by deciding which item to remove to meet their goal. This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to practice teamwork, decision-making, and real-world budgeting skills.
We are so proud of our students for rising to the challenge and putting their life skills into action!
