HDS Foundation goes out into the community to promote Give Miami Day!

The HDS Foundation staff went out today to engage businesses in the Miami Lakes area. We shared our Foundation’s mission as well as the opportunity to participate in Give Miami Day. Miguel did a fantastic job as our HDSF Ambassador! He explained our goals to everyone and shared how their contributions would impact our programs. Please mark your calendars, and join us for Give Miami Day, an all-day virtual fundraising initiative. By pledging to support us on Give Miami Day, you will help our Foundation continue to fulfill its mission.

100% of your donation will directly support expanding our B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Programs that offer school-based social and community life skills activities tailored to meet the needs of High School Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related abilities. Through our Programs, the students acquire skills that will help prepare them for a successful journey from high school to post-secondary.

Cristina Miranda Gilson, founder and CEO of HDS Companies, has reaffirmed the organization’s financial pledge to generously match every dollar donated to the HDS Foundation through Thursday, November 17, 2022, as part of Give Miami Day. The dollar-for-dollar match will help our flagship programs, which significantly impact the lives of teens and young adults.

Last night the HDS Foundation had the pleasure of supporting our friends at The Friendship Journey at their Annual Friendship Gala. Along with two of our BRIDGES teachers, previous students, colleagues, and friends, we celebrated the work that they, and their participants and community partners, have done to help so many individuals connect. TFJ is an organization that brings together people of all abilities through creating opportunities and lasting friendships. It was an amazing night with us all under one roof, celebrating our differences and commonalities and cherishing the friends by our side. Congratulations to @thefriendshipjourneyfl and all of the award winners tonight!!!!
